Dr. Brandt Skincare - pores no more vacuum cleaner .2 oz ($9) This has a fantastic cooling sensation but I’m not sure if it actually takes care of my blackheads while tightening pores. I don’t know if this is something I would see a difference in as I use it for an extended amount of time or what but I feel as though I have masks that do this already and it’s A LOT cheaper. J. Cat Beauty - Liptitude Hydrating Lip Stain ($5.99) This did not feel like a stain, it was like a matte cream lipstick. There was a lot of movement but surprisingly it stayed ALL DAY. This had a pretty color but didn’t have the name on the bottle (pet peeve!) It was a good product but I definitely think they should change the name from being labeled a “stain” to something more appropriate. tre'StiQue - Mini Shadow Crayon (color: Venetian Gold) ($10.67) First off, let me talk about the anger I felt when I saw this product. As you can see based on the picture, it looks like there’s no cap on it. I saw that and almost flipped out until I realized that the cap was designed that way. Well played, tre’Stique, well played. The color is beautiful and I found that even though this is a cream shadow crayon, it did not crease on me. Smashbox Cosmetics - Photo Finish Foundation Primer .25 fl oz ($9) I honestly thought this would be my favorite product. It gets so much hype everywhere that I thought this would be holy grail status. It was okay. The formula is nice and did what it was supposed to do but I think I would like one of their color corrector primers more. This (obviously) didn’t do much to neutralize my redness. Still, a great primer with great staying power. Keratherapy - Daily Smoothing Cream 1oz ($3.50ish) YES YES YESSSSS. First off, I love hair repair products. Secondly, this made my hair feel so fantastic. It also kept my frizz at bay (in 90+ degree weather), what a lifesaver! It says that it helps your hair dry quickly but I can’t vouch for that. My hair retains a TON of water so it takes forever for it to dry. I did notice a slight decrease in time when I used this with my quick dry paddle brush. I have no idea what it’s called though, all I know is that it has fibers in between the bristles to help absorb extra moisture. I will definitely repurchase this item.
