This is my first I Heart Monday post in four weeks. Usually I write one every two weeks cause that's just what works for me, but damn. Four weeks. That's a long time.
Clearly I had too much fun in England and did not make enough time for writing. Sincere apologies. Seriously. It doesn't feel good.
In the past couple weeks so much has happened! I went to England for a little holiday, to see family and my England/ Shanghai friends, went to a wedding in Ireland and then came back to the states. Family came to the lake for a visit. My parents bought a cottage (one of their lifelong dreams). David has come to the states for three weeks for a little holiday. I have painted and painted. It's been a lot, but it's been great!! I love keeping busy, and I have a feeling that the next couple weeks are going to be even more busy. Hopefully not too busy that I miss another IHM though!!!
Here's a sneak peek of the cottage!
Everyone should take time out to appreciate the little things that make them happy. I already posted this on Instagram, but love how it made a perfect little moon. If it makes you smile-go on and post it twice. Who cares!
The shoppe is opening this week!! To be fair it opened again last week, but I haven't posted all the options yet. Here's a little bag I made with this gorgeous fabric I picked up in England. It's going to go quick, so if you want it just let me know!! I love getting new fabric. It makes me so happy.
The 3 Peaks Challenge involves climbing the three highest peaks in England, Scotland and Wales in 24 hours. The three mountains are Ben Nevis, Snowden and Scafell Pike. David and his dear friends Tumo and Speedy completed the 3 Peaks Challenge in 23 hours! They did it in memory of David's father and my father-in-law Brian, who recently passed away from cancer. They raised just about $6,000 for the Royal National Lifeboat Institution which save an average of 25 lives a day. So proud of them.
I asked David if he would put one of Maura's envelopes (part of the #FromToledoWithLove art project) at the top of Ben Nevis, and he said he would!! I am so happy that he did, but also that someone found it and took it to Amsterdam!! I love this project (which you can read about here) and I love that everyone has been to excited to help distribute these envelopes all over the world. 💌
I'm only doing one more, because I have so many posts to write!!
I'm pretty sure I have already included this in one of my posts, but it needs to be said again. The Project Life app is AMAZING. It makes scrapbooking SO easy. You don't need to pay for the app, but you can pay for different layouts and 'themes' (like Halloween cards or handwriting quotes). Seriously, try it out and let me know what you think!!
Here's one of the layouts I have made (super quickly!) about our time in Bham.
Alright kids. That's it for me! I still have loads I need to catch you up on (the Packwood house and our trip to Henley, a shoppe update, my trip to England and the wedding, and the safari park!) so don't go too far!
Leave me some love!
