There is so much going on these days, I can't seem to find the time to post! However, I have loads that I want to write about, and lots of fun things planned for the coming weeks! (...new items for sale, cookie recipes, house tour...)
So I thought I would do a little update whist we are organising upcoming posts, collecting our current faves for I heart Monday, and really just sorting our lives out.
January was so busy! I packed up all our stuff and David and I (and Jessie too!) moved into our first house together!!! So exciting but also so tiring. At the moment, most everything is unpacked and where it should be, but there is the occasional stray 'thing' that doesn't have a home yet. That, along with the lightbulbs that have gone out, sorting the heating system (that you can program to come on/off up to six times a day!!), exploring the area, and getting used to the house, it's been busy!
Here's a little sneak peek of the house so far! I'm fully intending to do a house tour as soon as I get everything cleaned and put in its place. I promise it won't be *that* long. I hope.
My poor Jessie girl got spayed this past Friday, and thankfully she's doing well! Today she has been full of energy and I'm hoping that she calms down a bit so she doesn't rip her stitches open! She's definitely going stir crazy. Poor girl!!! Here's a couple photos of her looking miserable and sleeping. Thank goodness she's been taking long naps.
If you haven't noticed, for the past few months we've been having certain 'items of the month' which are on sale for the entire month. January was hand painted cards, and today is the last day to get them 50% off!!
February's sale is embroidery hoops! I tried back in December to have hoops on sale, but I really didn't have many made. My bad!
Now I have loads ready and am offering 30% off on all hoops! ANY embroidery hoop! They can be custom made with your favourite quotes, an initial, names, theme, colour scheme...basically, I can make anything you think of. You can use coupon code HOOP30 in the etsy shoppe, or send me a message and let me know what you'd like!
They're great as we wedding present, house warming gift, baby shower gift, or just wall decor.
At the moment we have an Instagram giveaway (if you haven't entered- you have until Monday at 5 o'clock EST! Be sure to share with your friends!!) and a Facebook giveaway when we get to 500 likes!! Head on over to Instagram and get in on that GIVEAWAY! AND hit up Facebook and like/share our page so we can do another giveaway soon!
That's it for the January update. We've got a lot going on, but I promise to make more time for you!
Leave me some love!

WE BOUGHT A HOUSE!!!
I've been DYING to tell you, but afraid that I would jinx it by telling you. We've exchanged contracts and we move in on Friday. Yes, like this Friday. In two days. GAH!!
I am so excited but also a little nervous. This is our first house, that we own, all by ourselves. And to be honest, I'm really going to miss living on Beauchamp Road. I am not going to miss Jessie digging up the garden though.
So, thats part of the reason I didn't put an I Heart Monday post up this week, and also because I had a raging toothache and could not do anything but lay in bed.
This week has been full of nerves for the dentist (I despise the dentist if you didn't know), excitement for packing and moving, and a little bit of sadness for leaving the first place I called 'home' in England.
Soooo....gimme some help!! What's your favourite packing tip?! We have so much to do, and it would go much smoother with some organisation! So let me know!!! I cannot wait to take photos of the house for you to see!
Leave me some love!
Hey y’all! I’m back with an I heart Monday post! How’s your year going so far? What resolutions have you set for yourself? I always set a TON so that I can at least accomplish one or two and I don’t feel as bad.
This mixing bowl was gifted to me from my husband for Christmas, and while a lot of people would scoff at getting kitchenware for a holiday gift, I LOVE it. It’s stainless steel with a silicone bottom. Not only is it big enough for my big batches of cookies, but it also doesn’t slide around when I use it with my hand mixer! It’s so fantastic I’m planning on getting more in different sizes as well as buying a couple for Tory!
I’ve always had issues with my skin. I’m not acne prone, but I am drier than the Sahara desert. I decided to try something that EVERYONE raves about. I’m about a week in and I’m loving the way my skin has been feeling! I use the moisturizing cleanser as well as the moisturizing cream (heavier than the moisturizer) and my skin hasn’t ever felt so soft, even my husband commented on it!
Mint Truffle Hershey’s Kisses. HOLY MOLY. This is delicious. Mint and chocolate, need I say more?
One of my favorite YouTube Beauty Bloggers is KathleenLights, so when she came out with ANOTHER quad with Colourpop, I knew I had to purchase it. I have her previous quad, which is jam packed with neutrals and a couple super metallic shades but this one is WAY more up my alley. Colourpop shadows are different because they feel very soft and creamy but they apply like a normal shadow, best applied with your fingertips or a flat synthetic brush. I have 10 shadows and about 7 or 8 lip products from them because they are so affordable!
This is a Pure Radiance candle from Yankee Candle in the scent Merry Mint. This is a crackling candle, which means it crackles like a fire would. It is so cool and it legitimately smells like mint chocolate chip ice cream. YUM.
That's what I've been loving this week, what about you? Let me know in the comments below!
