What does The Barmy Fox mean?
To answer the question you've probably asked more than once...what does barmy mean, and where did this name come from? Barmy is a British slang word that means crazy, but a good fun kind of crazy. Foxes are cute, curious and at some times, little naughty.
To me, The Barmy Fox describes someone who is trying out lots of new things, crazy enough to go with it but curious to see what happens. This definition describes a certain kind of person, and it's definitely me.

TORYHiya! I’m Tory, the owner and creator of The Barmy Fox. I started this blog out of sheer desperation to fill my time with something meaningful after finding myself between jobs. I found myself trying new recipes, experimenting with new projects, and falling in love with being creative all over again. So here I am writing about my adventures, from living and working in Shanghai, China, to getting sidetracked in Toledo, Ohio for a year, and finally moving to England with my husband. I am so excited to see where this takes me and hope that you will come along, because what is life without your friends?!
current loves: exploring, creating and making anything, trying new things, notebooks, new chapstick, cooking and baking, painting, photographing everything, ANY animal (seriously love LOVE animals), both coffee and tea (I don't discriminate!), my new pup Jessie, my parents dogs Cooper and Rusty, my forever best friends Buddy and Simba, and my ever supportive husband David. |
